Visit back to KS

I don't get back home very often so I get excited when I do get to make a trip. Adam was out of town for work so I figured it was a great time! We headed back on Saturday afternoon and I think as soon as we hit the city limits the body aches and sore throat set in. I usually can just take some vitamins or just ride it out for a day and I start feeling better, but this time I knew I was gonna be down. So after an hour of being home I was on the couch to stay.  I have never thought about it, but what do you do when you are the "mom" and you get sick??? Moms don't get days off..... But I really didn't want Harper exposed to any germs and I didn't feel up to chasing her around. Well luckily I have a great dad who happens to also be a great grandpa so he stepped in as Mr mom for the weekend!! Between him and my sister I think Harper had a great time!!! She got to go the park, go on walks and play till she couldn't keep her eyes open, while I got to sleep and try and feel better. I missed my baby but I was sooo thankful for the help!!  My mom and my grandma also ended up being sick for the weekend so it ended up being kind of a "bust," we were all down.

I'm on antibiotics now and am feeling better, no signs of the little one getting it yet, fingers crossed!!! Adam is back in town now, so hopefully everything goes back to normal!!  Here are the few pics I did get from the weekend!

Great Grandma Ellis made Harper made a high chair with a tea towel tied around her, great idea and she was able to sit at the "Big" Table!

My brother and Harper, she sure didn't know what to think of  this beard!!

Happy to be headed home!! I get to See my Daddy:)

Lets start blogging!!!!

Today is the day!! Ive been wanting to start a blog for quite some time now and just haven't gotten around to it.  I don't know if blogging is really for me but at least I can try and see how it goes.  This will be great for long distance friends and family to keep updated on the happenings in my life too!!  My blog may not always be exciting but hopefully it will capture my real life moments that we all take for granted everyday!!  Ever since becoming a parent it is much more apparent to me how special life is and that it truly is a miracle.  I feel so blessed to be able to look into my little girls baby blue eyes everyday but I am even more aware that none of our days our guaranteed so I am treasuring every moment!!
Here is one of our special moments that was captured for us my by good friend Megan Hopkins:)  What is sweeter than reading as a family to your baby.
